Check Android media volume first
Android can keep separate volume levels for media, calls, alarms and notifications. While the sample is playing, use the device controls to check media volume. Exact menus differ by manufacturer and software version.
Disconnect Bluetooth earbuds, a car stereo or a connected speaker when you want to test the built-in speaker. If there is no sound, check the output selector as well as Do Not Disturb and app volume settings.
Using the cleaner on Samsung, Pixel and other phones
- Remove any case that obstructs the grille and wipe away external moisture.
- Keep the opening downward. Start at a comfortable level.
- Run a short cycle only when the phone is otherwise operating normally and there are small droplets near the speaker opening.
- Listen to ordinary speech again. If there is no improvement, investigate the cause rather than repeating indefinitely.
Browser sound is not a manufacturer diagnostic
This website does not identify your model, access internal hardware diagnostics or measure water inside your phone. Samsung or other manufacturers may offer their own support and diagnostic features; their availability varies by device. Use Samsung Support or Google Pixel Help for the instructions specific to your phone.
Can it fix low volume or crackling?
Those symptoms can also come from an obstructed opening, software settings, the recording itself or a damaged speaker. Try the speaker test at a moderate level and compare another app or recording. Our muffled speaker checklist helps narrow down the possibilities.
For dirt, follow the external cleaning guide. For heat, liquid warnings or persistent faults, stop and follow manufacturer advice.
